1. Registration Fee
A non-refundable registration fee is requested from new students. It covers administrative processing costs and is retained in the event of cancellation.
2. Health Insurance
Health insurance is mandatory in Switzerland. For boarding students, insurance is provided by the School and included in the price. Day students must hold personal health insurance valid in Switzerland.
3. Accident Insurance
The School insures all students against accidents occurring on the direct route to the School, on the School’s premises, and during organized activities, provided that valid health insurance in Switzerland has been purchased.
4. Early Departure and Cancellation
Cancellation between 30 and 15 days before the start of the stay: 50% of the amount is refunded (excluding the registration fee). Less than 15 days before the start: no refund. After the course has started: no refund. In the event of a pandemic or border closure, a voucher of equivalent value, valid for 16 months, will be issued instead.
5. Rules and Behavior
Students must abide by the rules of the School and the Boarding School. Alcohol and illegal substances are strictly prohibited. Any breach of these rules may result in immediate dismissal without refund.
6. Image Rights
The School may use photographs, films, and videos of students for any publication or broadcast, including on the Internet, television, brochures, posters, and social media.
7. Payment
Bank transfer, PayPal, and credit card payments are accepted. Refunds are made using the same method of payment originally used.
8. Civil Liability
Parents are strongly advised to purchase liability insurance, as they remain responsible for any damage caused by their child.
9. Pocket Money
Parents may deposit an additional amount of pocket money, which is kept in a safe deposit box and given to the student according to their needs.
10. Additional Expenses
The School may charge for the following: medical care not covered by insurance, personal expenses, Europa Park, currency exchange fees, damage caused to the premises or rooms, and the laundry service. Clothes that shrink during washing will not be reimbursed.
11. Food Allergies
The School cannot guarantee allergen-free food. Students must personally check what they consume and inform staff of any food allergies.
12. IELTS Test
The School prepares students for the IELTS test but does not guarantee any minimum score. If the exam takes place in another city, the costs of hotel accommodation and transport will be charged to the student.
13. Programs
The School reserves the right to change the dates, times, or locations of courses and activities, or to cancel them, without financial compensation.
14. Validity of the Contract
If any provision of this agreement is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remainder of the contract shall remain in full force and effect.
15. Jurisdiction
In the event of a dispute, the place of jurisdiction is Lausanne, Switzerland. Parents waive any claim to their national jurisdiction. Swiss law applies.
